We planned a weekend at the beach in Mexico last month for my youngest sister's birthday. This is the view from our patio deck. It was sooo relaxing. We were right on the beach and the weather was gorgeous! She and I had a great time just soaking up the sun and the clean ocean breezes. The house had floor to ceiling windows facing the beach and the view was incredible. There were only a few people on the beach at any given time and we enjoyed a stroll in the morning. At one point, a large dog snuck up behind me and when I turned around he jumped up on his hind legs, but never put his paws on me, just looked me in the face and then dropped down and continued his jog with his owner. I guess he was just saying hello. We had lots of time to catch up with each other. We raved at how lucky we were to find this place thru a friend of a friend. We drove over to Puerto Nuevo (and saw the giant Jesus on the way!) to enjoy their famous lobster dinners with beans, tortillas and rice, cold beer and awesome guacamole. Yum!
We had little adventures of trying to figure out how to turn on the water heater...
and the subsequent cold showers 'til we figured it out, but it was in the low 80's so no worries. It got cold at night, but plenty of blankets were had to pile on. D built a fire in the pit our second night and we stayed as late as we could our last night--we so hated to leave. I can't wait to take other friends and family to enjoy this little peace of paradise!
