Holiday bustle...I love it!
I am up way too late tonight. But I fear I have been malingering in my blogging duties. So quick update before I nod off. I recently began taking a yoga class and am enjoying it immensely.
We just painted our living/dining/hallway and sanding dust is everywhere! The colors turned out great except for what I call "lemon sherbet" in the dining/hall but Dave promises to redo it. Dave took our Christmas decorations out of storage at the little guy's insistence and now I have every conceivable box and bag spread around the living/dining area while he "decorates". But he loves doing it. We'll probably get a tree this weekend and hopefully I'll get my lights up in the trees out front (I looovvvve the white lights on the bare branches of our trees). I try to convince Dave we should keep them lit all year. He thinks I'm crazy. Well, for other reasons besides just that. I got a bit of shopping done but we'll go this weekend together and leave the little guy with grandma.
Friday, we're set to go on a christmas walkabout in this cute little community nearby where all the businesses open their doors in the evening and have treats and hot drinks and special sales. We'll meet at someone's house and have drinks/snacks before getting all bundled up to walk the neighborhood shops. We've done it the last 2 years and always have a great time. Well, my eyelids are at half-mast. Yawwwnnn. Good night.
It generally kicks my butt but I'm so relaxed at the end I don't care.I have been shamelessly spoiling my teams at work with holiday treats...store bought for now. I'm hoping to find time to actually bake some goodies for them during the holiday bustle.
