Sunshine and laughter...the best medicine
Today was gorgeous. We went out on PK's new boat and just soaked up some sun and jumped in the water. I swam in the bay until my arms and legs felt like logs and I could barely pull myself back into the boat. We had one of those inner tube floats that you can get pulled around on. Melly tried it and bounced around and made us laugh when she announced afterward, "It's just a major enema!" She was riding facing forward, what did she expect? crazy girl! Then she and PK tried it together and we about peed our pants when they caught some air and went flying.
The thing is you get laughing so hard your muscles just go limp with fatigue. And waterlogged is tough to haul out of the ocean. But the laughter is worth it. Later, we headed out to the ocean and bumped around on the waves for awhile. My favorite time was when we just set anchor. We urged each other to dive into the water and Mr. Dave thought I should be pushed in, but I dove in before he could try. Later, we sat on the boat with drinks, sooo relaxing. I needed that. We brought sandwiches and snacks and put in to shore and sat under the bimini while we refueled our bodies. Food just tastes better after you've been in the water. Heck, I even get hungry after a shower. It was one of the best sunday afternoons I've had in awhile. Thank you PK (and T for remembering me!)
